February is almost over so It’s time for Delay of the Dead! We have tons of figures got delayed to March. All of sudden March become another deadly month for me. Including those delays from January, now I have 40,000 yen in pre-order for March. It is no joke… OTL

I’m really getting tired of waiting on that tony miku =_= Max factory needs to hurry and just release her!
Hmm… well, March will not be that deadly to me if both Tony Miku and Black Gold Saw do not get delayed again, because I only have the Dead Master -animation version- PVC scheduled. (She will probably get delayed anyway.)
Still, I’m pretty unhappy. T___T;; By chance Ritsu didn’t get delayed to March as well…! (Though, once again, I’m pretty sure she is going to be delayed to May or June, and then it will be the death of my wallet.)

Hmm…not too bad for me. My only february order got pushed back to march, so now I can combine the shipping with my march preorders.

To the “my wallet is going to explode” crowd: If you have set a aside money for this month for figures and they get delayed, then moving that saved money to the new release month is only going to combine with that month’s saved money. So it doesn’t matter if all your orders get delayed to be released all on the same month, as you’ve been rolling over the saved money, and therefore can pay for it since you are covered.
I can only see this becoming a problem if you decided to spend the money you thought you “saved” by having a delayed figure, and then “hope” to have enough money somehow to cover your future expenses. This, my friends, is a recipe for disaster, and exploding wallets (@.@)
This kind of “if you set aside money…” comment comes up once in awhile. Maybe I should make it as a FAQ. =P
Like we said before in some other post, a lot of us have set a budget each month for entertainment stuff (e.g. figure). It’s not like we don’t have money. We can spend $300 each month on figure but it doesn’t mean we’re willing to spend $600 a month if those $300 stuff delayed to the next month. It’s not really about money, it’s about budget allocation.
Let’s make it extreme. If you have set aside $100 each month for figures. But all the figure you pre-ordered in Jan-Nov delayed to December. Yes, we have $1200 saved for it, but not everybody is willing to spend $1200 all at once.
Of course, agree that some people would thought they “saved” by having a delayed figure and spend those money on other stuff and then they’re doomed in the next month.
Ok, so it’s not the actual lack of funds, but more the psychological impact of writing out a check for $1200 bucks that makes people uncomfortable. That’s better, I always fear that some of the readers here are in a continual state of poverty due to lack of budgeting and funds 🙂

Looking at my own experiences, I don’t think I would check the FAQ first before I leave comment about “if you set aside money…” XD
Just one line thought on this and I’ll drop the matter: Whether you spend $100 a month or $1200 in one lump payment doesn’t matter. You will still be out $1200 at the end of the year. Perhaps the “shock” is that it hints that maybe the hobby is getting out of control. Yes, you may be a crack addict 🙂 The first form of defense an addict uses is denial. XD
Also, this “psychological shock” reasoning can be dangerous as it may block you from making bigger purchases, like a car, or a house, or an engagement ring. Way more expensive than a few delayed figures.

I too agree that a FAQ would be a good idea. I’ll be completely honest and say that buying figures has become a vice for me. I’m currently in recovery mode and learning from my mistakes, but a FAQ about the realities of the accruing expenses of this hobby along with information on budgeting would be a very nice addition to the site. If you’re willing and have the time GGT, please do build a FAQ. Thanks.

im thinkin its delayed cause people cancel pre-orders and retailers dont want to take on the goods because of space issue.

Aww man. Been looking forward to the Dead Master Animation Version for months now. Well, April will be a awesome month for figures then. Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Dizzy and Ikkitousen Ryomou Shimei Shunya Comic Gum Cover Illustration will hopefully make it out on time.
