lol i wish that plastic support rod wasnt there. but of course its there for a reason =(.. lol i want to get the good smile company one cause it doesnt have any support rods. but i preordered this version cause overall its very good. this will be my first miku figure theoritically.
I saw your comment at hobbysearch, your eyes must be really sharp to see that it has 2 plastic poles lol I’m joking tho XD
actually im not sure if 1,2, or no plastic support rods. on hobbysearch, it shows 1 rod. at here http://akibahobby-c2.sakura.ne.jp/image/20100729/m002.html it shows 2 rods. im gonna assume its not the final.
Her hair and face are gorgeous, but her pose just really irritates me.
Very detailed figure. Maybe I should order this figure
Pose looks great to me.
Maybe the rod is for the mic?
Otherwise it doesn’t seemed like it’s there for any reason.
Anyone Orders from AmiAmi?How Good Are They?
I Ordered my Sakuya figure by Griffon off of Amiami. They’re fine if you don’t mine using paypal.
amiami is pretty good. its the only place to get touhou figures for a fair price. the only thing i find annoying is 1) theres no user menu to see what u have ordered/preordered besides the email. 2) there is almost no way to calculate shipping rates. u request for SAL for 1-3 small items, but is switched to EMS because the box is huge for the content. maybe 1/3-1/2 of the volume is just paper. i understand its for the protection of the goods, but meh. 3) canceling seems kinda scary lol.
Amiami is very good. I would rate it as one of the best figure stores around. Hobbysearch and amiami are my two favorites. In general, amiami has slightly cheaper prices, but they don’t let you cancel orders so make sure you don’t change your mind.
This miku looks nice, but I already have 2 miku figures. I don’t really wanna spend money on another.
And lol, you can tell when you’re an avid figure collector when you’re more happy that it’ll take longer for a figure to be released to save your wallet. XD
Actually you cancel figures from AmiAmi if you ask realllly nicely and give a reason. I guess it’s with any company, they don’t want people to cancel so they say they don’t allow it but most of the time they will if it can hinder their business with the customer (like you need hospital expenses so you must cancel).
Otacute on the other hand… =_=
This Miku is adorable though, but her pose looks REALLY uncomfortable…
the thing is amiami is cheaper in price, but hobbysearch offers points so it kind of even out. so far, i like the shipping for HS more for some reason =p.. i always get surprised by amiami
That’s what i hate about amiami, is that you can’t cancel your preorders. That site has no customer maintenance system whatsoever. Have to go back through all my emails just to find out what i’ve preordered.
Strange, I didn’t know they don’t allow cancelling… I’m saying this because, a few days ago, I cancelled my pre-order for Ritsu’s second shipment without giving any reason xD And everything went OK
They also tell you NOTHING when they restock something you reall want.. nor do they post everything new on the front page. you have to specifically look in the category or anime your interested in. at the moment im refreshing the amiami page every few hours for restocks lol…
@alucard13mm: google reader has the ability to track non-rss websites. When a change occurs on your target webpage a “feed” entry is made to notify you. I use this myself for just what you are currently doing manually.

@HentaiZombie This is tertiary to the AmiAmi discussion, but I suggest you keep a spreadsheet for your preorders. A simple sheet with item/website/date ordered/price really works for me. I just cut paste recieved items to another sheet so I know what’s still on the way.
I’ve used AmiAmi for 3 orders or so, they’ve worked fine for me, but I’ve never needed to cancel or change an order. I naturally estimate shipping price to be some random number between 10-25 dollars so it doesn’t really surprise me.
Well, it’s not technically true that you can’t cancel your orders on Amiami. I think the golden number for cancellations is 3 orders?
I canceled 3 of my pre-orders (maybe about 1 month apart for each cancellation) and they only sent me a warning on the 3rd canceled order. :/ (I don’t dare to cancel any more, so for now I’m sticking to Hobby Search, unless it’s a Amiami exclusive item or w/e)
It looks very very discomforting to see the pose, so yea no thanks.
What the picture can nicely illustrate, is not necessarily applicable to a 3-D figure. The Miku seems like brutally twisted.
whoa, did someone rip out her spinal cord? XD
It looks lovely, but the pose is just too uncomfortable looking. Ever since I saw it. The paintwork is very nice, but I still want the GSC Vocaloid figures 🙁
Tony Artwork, Love it, and very details too, oledi preorder her from hobbysearch!
Yeah looks she just about to snap her ankle. But she still a beautiful figure.
Twisty pose or whatever, I still think she’s beautiful!! Pre-ordered from HS. My first Miku PVC!
Awww she’s you’re first? How cute!
The left leg is at fault, the other one doesn’t look that weird, is a great figure, but not in my PO/wishlist …. yet, somethings off (besides the leg), well… at least for me o.O
I can’t help but look at the 3rd pic (the 2nd one of the actual figure) and think she’s about to fall on her face.
That said, her face is pretty cute.
