Bandai is going to release the COMPOSITE Ver.Ka All Area All Purpose Humanoid Battle Exoskeleton SOS-01 Haruhi Robot Captain Haruhi Custom ( COMPOSITE Ver.Ka 全領域汎用人型決戦外骨格 SOS-01 ハルヒロボ ハルヒ☆隊長☆専用機 ) action figure from the light novel/anime “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”( 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱 ). Will be released in February 2011. Around 220mm tall, Haruhi around 140mm tall, 4,800 yen.

Based on the illustation from the popular mecha designer Hajime Katoki, Bandai is bring us this “COMPOSITE…Haruhi Custom” action figure! Finally we have more images for her! When I first saw this figure in Tamashii Nation 2010, I thought Bandai took the Revoltech Bunny Haruhi and made her into this but I was wrong. I guess Bandai made her based on their S.H.Figuart action figure.
Beside the Humanoid Battle Exoskeleton and Haruhi herself, she also comes with 1 extra face, extra front hair part with goggles, extra back hair part with bunny ears, some hand parts, and a base. 4,800 yen is a pretty good deal in my opinion. =]

Can the armor’s “bunny-ears” fold down over the body? It looks like it could, but I haven’t seen any pics depicting that function…
It looks possible, but Haruhi’s bunny ears will get in the way.
I suppose you can use it for the hairstyle without the bunny ears, I guess?

Katoki only drew this Haruhi illustration for “The Gorgeous of Haruhi Suzumiya” official anthology comic and the Haruhi author Tanigawa Nagaru named it “… SOS-01…”. It is just the name, tere is no sign that Katoki will draw anything for Nagato or Mikuru. Well, unless the new Haruhi novel or manga come out and Katoki draw another one for them.
i think i noticed a weakspot on the suit.. her whole chest and torso is exposed to enemy fire. lol i think getting shot somewhere in the torso is not a good thing.
hmm its relatively cheap.
I wonder if a figma could fit in there. If it could, that’s a lot of possibilities for me. :3
