Kaitendoh is going to release the Kusanagi Motoko ( 草薙素子 ) 1/7 PVC figure form the manga/anime “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” ( 攻殻機動隊 S.A.C.) . Will be released in July 2011, 8,800 yen.

Holy cow. This looks… awful. The painting job is nice from a technical standpoint (albeit muted and/or sepia’d, for some reason), but what the hell’s with her shades hanging out of her top like that? Looks really weird and ugly imo.
Personally, I like her getup from 2nd Gig a lot more, but nevertheless I think they could’ve done a better job for this one.

No thanks. I just don’t think this works.
This is also Kaitendoh. Remember that they use that really strange translucent PVC for the skin. Others might like it, but I don’t. Not one bit.
The final product doesn’t match the pictures above.
The eyes are done rather badly and looks very different from what we have here, a huge put off for me since the face was one of the reasons I bought the figure.
The base has none of the reflective finish too. The lower portion is all matte, and ‘9’ is done in a dull gold color.
