Kotobukiya is going to release the Ayanami Rei ( 綾波レイ ) Maid Ver. (メイドＶｅｒ.) version 1/7 PVC figure from the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion” ( 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン ). Will be released in May 2009. Around 190mm tall, 7,140 yen.

Many moons ago, the Eva anime was a big hit in the otaku community. Everybody liked it a lot and I was one of them. The anime was really touching my heart. I loved it a lot and Ayanami was favorite character. I was already an otaku as much as I do nowadays but I didn’t have fund to support me. I was just a poor highschool student and I only had around $40 allowance monthly. I saved every single penny that I had just to buy the Eva manga, film books, illustration books, VCD, and PC games. I was crazy about it.
