Coneckers ( こねっか～ず ) is going to release the IA -Aria on the Planetes- non-scale GK from the popular singing synthesizer application “Vocaloid 3″. Will be released in Wonder Festival 2012 [Summer] on July 29, 2012, 15,000 yen. Kit is NOT pre-painted nor assembled.

Do garage kits often get adopted to PVC? There’s so many great GKs it baffles me why companies aren’t taking advantage of them..
Sometimes. Gift does adopt garage kits (especially anything sculpted by Toda Satoshi), occasionally GSC will pick up one (very rarely though) – their Shinobu is an example of a GK-turned-figure. Most of them go unloved though ;3;
No, the GSC Shinobu is their original figure, not the one form Eyewater (https://www.nekomagic.com/?p=20226)
Some big name sculptors’/circles’ GK sometime will be picked up.
Like Chizuru from Turu no Yakata, she always works with WAVE and SEGA.
Others like:
Cerberug Project -> Yamato
Miyagawa Takeshi, 83’C -> Clayz
Toda Satoshi -> Gift
Yamanekotei -> Megahouse
Some companies like Phat! company and quesQ, I guess they don’t have their own sculptor team, so they always pick up GK and make them into PVC figure.
Oh really? Now that I look at the two it’s obvious they’re different sculpts of the same illustration. well you learn new things everyday!
I’ve noticed that SOMETIMES e2046 will make pre-painted (PVC?) versions of really popular garage kits. I don’t know how they get the licensing but they’ve done MULTIPLE versions of Hatsune Miku.
They DON’T have licensing. They recast the figures without permission, essentially they are bootlegs.
OMG I WANT HER SO BAD!!!!!! she looks just like the picture the figure is based off of. please please please let this get turned into a high quality PVC.
Crazy how well-done she is. The pose, coloring, details, her face; all of it is lovely and looks so professional.
