Griffon Enterprises is going to release the Figutto! FG-003 Kirisame Marisa ( 霧雨魔理沙 ) action figure from the doujin danmaku shooting game series “Touhou Project” ( 東方プロジェクト ) by the circle Team Shanghai Alice ( 上海アリス幻樂団 ). Will be released in April June August Winter 2010. Around 185mm tall, 3,800 yen.

I was so looking forward to this Figutto! Kirisame Marisa when I knew that Griffon was going to release her in April before, but now I’m very disappointed. I think they pick the wrong sculptor. There are 2 reasons that I don’t like. The main reason that I don’t like her is her face. I really don’t like this “big hair + small face” style. The other reason that I don’t like her is her shoulders. They look like they’re detached from the body like Gundam model. It’s so disappoiting. Bandai S.H.Figure is bad but they can still do better than this. But beside these things, this Marisa isn’t too bad. =]


Magnetic front hair and stretchable skirt

For those who used to play with figma, you should have experience of the loose front hair. Guess what? Griffon notice this issiue and they put magnet in the front hair! That’s a nice thought. I think it’s better than put a joint there like what Revoltech QB did. And for those who worry about the skirt will limit the movement of her legs, Griffon used soft plastic (rubber?) for the skirt so it is stretchable.

Griffon did put some good thought on her, but I wonder why they use this sculptor. =(
