Hobby Japan is going to release the Kirisame Marisa ( 霧雨魔理沙 ) 1/8 PVC figure from the doujin danmaku shooting game series “Touhou Project” ( 東方プロジェクト ) by the circle Team Shanghai Alice ( 上海アリス幻樂団 ). Will be released in February March 2012. Around 270mm tall, 9,600 yen + 1,100 yen (taxed in) shipping & handling.

Oh shoot, Hobby Japan screwed up this Marisa’s face horribly! (Oo. Just scroll down to the bottom to see the original GK from Sakura Zensen and you know what I’m talking about.
Anyway, for those who want to get this Kirisame Marisa, you can order her at Hobby Japan Online shop here with your proxy service before October 11 Novmeber 30, 2011.

Update (Sept 23, 10): Wow! There comes a good news! Maybe Hobby Japan realized that they screwed up this Marisa’s face, so the announced an extra new face for her (scroll down to the bottom 3 pic to check it out)!!! Well, the new face is NOT original Sakura Zensen ones, but very similar to it. Because of that, Hobby Japan postponed her from February to March 2012 and extended the preorder deadline to From October 11 to November 30, 2011. =D

i like the original one better. i like the opaque stars with the colored borders. the new marisa’s face is a bit hurp durp. why would they change her face!?
the original paint job looks better as well, as evident with her hair. the original had a nice white/yellow shading… white the new one looks mainly orange.

the zensen is more Marisa’ish face i think..
the only thing that make it bad is only the stars and a little hair between her eyes..
the hobby japan it’s face are too dead serious..no marisa character at all..
The first time I saw this I knew it was screwed up because I think the original GK is awesome. Her face is the killer point for me, it looks nothing like the GK!
the face may be not as good and in-character as the rginal, but perosnnally i prefer the new one because in the original, the hair, especially the bangs, is kidna.. weirdly done, dont you zthink? its way too fluffy, or it makes her skull look weirdly shaped when you think abotu it.. there, enar the hat..
its much better lol.
