Moon Toys is going to release the Skit Scooter ( スキットスクーター ) 1/9 PVC figure from the single shot short story “Skit Scooter” ( スキットスクーター ) written by Tome Kei ( 冬目景 ). Will be released in May 2009. Around 135mm tall, 12,000 yen. Castoffable.
Saw her in Miyazawa Model Exhibition 2008 Autumn and finally this figure is being announced! Tome Kei happened to be one of my favourite artist. I have most of her comic. The poster above was from her single shot short story “Skit Scooter”.
The name of the manufacturer is “Moon Toys’ here, but actually their name is “Moon Toys/Beagle”. I really don’t know if it’s the same Beagle that we used to see. But According to their website, they’re a figure production house like the old Good Smile Company. Some of the figures of Alter and AlphaOmega are made by them.
This figure looks so nice but there are some uncertain things:
- It is still not clear that this figure is made of PVC or not. The manufacturer didn’t say anything about what material is being used. All they said was “prepainted & completed”. It could be cold cast for both the girl and the scooter or the girl is made of PVC and the scooter is just plastic model.
- In the order sheet, they said her kimono is castoffable, but I really doubt it. Most likely they just have an extra part for the body.
Let’s wait and see how she looks like in May. =]
P.S. Hey David, I hope you’re reading this!

No idea about the story or anything but I think the yukata and scooter pose is quite unique and would make for a nice display but $130 price tag is a bit over the top. =(
erkk..is a bit expensive for me..but i like scooters..but 1/9 is kinda in the small scale..
maybe the kimono castoff into the tank and shorts?
extra parts would justified the extra price though..
