Max Factory is going to release the Asahina Mikuru ( 朝比奈みくる ) Extravaganza Ver. ( 激奏Ver. ) 1/8 PVC figure from the light novel/anime series “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”( 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱 ). Will be released in April 2009. Around 200mm tall, 7,800 yen.

So Haruhi is coming in March, Mikuru is coming in April, so I guess Yuki is gonna be coming in May? I really want to buy all 3 of them, but 7,800 yen each is really scary. It’s not what my current financial stage can handle. =(

Another figure to join Max Factory’s “The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi” PVC figure series!

Following the recently announced Haruhi figure comes this Mikuru Asahina figure in a beautiful flowing dress; also based on the same promotion illustration used for the live event “The Extravaganza of Haruhi Suzumiya”.

Once again sculpted by Masanori Kuroda, she is posed with a beaming smile whist happily playing her tambourine – a pose that truly makes the figure feel like Mikuru herself. She is wearing a pink dress filled with fluttering frills, which only serves to increase her cuteness even more! Every part of her costume has been carefully sculpted to bring out as much of Mikuru’s charm as possible!
