Kotobukiya is going to release the Aira Blanc Neige Gardinias ( アイラ・ブランネージュ・ガルディニアス ) 1/8 PVC figure form the “Shining” game series “Shining Blade” ( シャイニング・ブレイド ) published by SEGA. Will be released in July 2012. Around 200mm tall, 6,800 yen.

Despite koto and tony reusing character designs, some of them are actually quite good. I think this blanc neige is a good one.
Re-releasing this Blanc with new techniques and sculpting and painting is actually a good move. I have her, and I remember when she came out. Everybody who got her thought that she looked too different, even bad, compared to proto pics. While this is expected, it was beyond tolerable. However, even if we hated it, there wasn’t much we could do about it…
Now I see this coming out of the blue. I’m actually ordering this in the hopes that I get a “true” Blanc Neige now.
I never believed in “second chances”, but luck is smiling at us. Or maybe it’s just 2012?
