Alter is going to release the Kataoka Yuki ( 片岡 優希 ) 1/8 PVC figure from the manga/anime “Saki” ( 咲−Saki− ). Will be released in May on June 03, 2010.Around 180mm, 6,800 yen.

You really can’t beat the quality of Alter. You can never expect other manufacturer even Max Factory/GSC can make a simple desige character as good as this. The sculpt on her hair and skirt is impressive! Can’t really comment on the paint job since it wouldn’t look as nice as this prototype in the final PVC version. But still she looks really really great. I wonder if Alter will release other characters from Saki too. =D

I haven’t watched Saki, but this character/sculpt is really cute. I love the taco bag and taco! Kind of an unusual food in Japan.

I got 2 Alter figures only, but they are INCREDIBLY GOOD. Nice poses, excellent sculpt, and great painting and tones.
but 1/8 at 180mm is pretty tall considering she is super tiny in the show.
I think it’s about right. 1/8 at 180mm is 144cm (4’8″)in real life.
