Kotobukiya is going to release the Rockman ( ロックマン ) 1/10 plastic model kit from the classic action game series “Rockman” ( ロックマン ) published by Capcom. Will be released in September 2010. Around 130mm tall, 3,000 yen. Kit is partially painted.
When I was a kid, my mom didn’t buy me any console. She said playing video game on TV would broke the TV eventually. So when the 1st gen Gameboy released, she didn’t have the TV excuse anymore and bought me a Gameboy on Christmas (or was it on my bday?). What I want to say is, I never played Rockman on Famicom/NES as most of you did. My first Rockman experiance was Rockman 3 on Gameboy. XD

Looks really really nice compare to Rockman’s toys you’ve owned before.
I am still thinking about getting it or not. It’s a very nice figma, but I am not so into Rockman anymore.
LoL i always thought he was MegaMan, anyway there were anime with him, but i am not able to find any worth watching. BTW i would give a lot to play MegaMan X2 on Super Nintendo.
He’s called Rockman in Japan. Megaman is the American localized name. The X series in the SNES and PS is completely different from the original in the NES/Famicom. I still like Dr. Wily over Sigma any day despite him being annoying and returning in every sequel.
looks really cool ^__^. Remind me of the old days ^__^
Yeah Innskip, same here. Why RockMan anyway? He doesn’t have to do anything with tocks, does he? I only know him as MEgaman too, anyhow.
On the other hand, I’m not into him at all, back at the time I found the games way too hard xD
Because there are some silly thing going on those days like all those swapped name between Street Fighter characters, anyway Rockman is his original name and Protoman is actually named Blues.
He’s called Rockman because he rocks!
They were actually named based on music genres. In Japan his name is originally Rock and with his counterpart Roll (his “sister”) this makes much more sense than the “his name is Mega” agenda Capcom currently tries to push now a days (They, for some reason, regret calling him “Rock” in the Mega Man 4 intro). Thus Rockman is likened more to the Rock genre than a guy who’s power is Rocks (hence why Gutsman didn’t get that name, it was already taken). Protoman’s Japanese name “Blues” goes with this as well. However Bass and Treble in Japan are called Forte & Gospel. They sort of mixed the theme with those two it seems.
Until its Bass and Treble, I’ll pass.

I will past since it’s a kit. It’s much nicer than say the bandai kit from ten years ago.
I am talking about this one:

I would not hesitate if this was a Figma.
Five inches is just too small to be spending all that effort of building.
Probably the best looking MM figure by far compared to all the crap released in the past. I’ll probably get one and hope the final figure looks like those photos.
