Kotobukiya is going to release the Girl Friend ( 彼女 ) 1/7 PVC figure from the manga “Houkago Play” ( 放課後プレイ, After School Play ) written by Kurosaki Rendou, serialized in Dengeki 4 Koma. Will be released in March 2010. Around 250mm tall, 7,800 yen.

Wow, Kotobukiya beat WAVE to it! WAVE displayed the prototype of Girl Friend in Wonder Festival 2009 Summer and everybody was so excited about it. Since that will be the first PVC figure of her in the market so everybody was gonna put their money on her. But then all of sudden Kotobukiya announced this Girl Friend figure today! We never heard anything from Kotobukiya about this release before! (@@.

Not just that, the sculptor of this Girl Friend by Kotobukiya is Yokoshima Shinpei ( 横嶋真平 ), the winner of the Wonder Showcase 2008, from the figure circle “Gouhondo” ( 剛本堂 ). So now I guess everybody is going to buy this one from Kotobukiya instead.
