MOVIC is going to release the Hachikuji Mayoi ( 八九寺真宵 ) 1/8 PVC figure from the light novel/anime “Bakemonogatari” ( 化物語 ). Will be released in September 2010, 7,800 yen.

Here comes the snail Hachikuji Mayoi! The sculptor is “Hatsumi” ( 八海 ) from the figure circle 83℃. He is also one of the sculptor from Clayz. His works are always hit-or-miss. But sadly his recently works that turned into PVC figures are big miss (e.g. Eve Neuschwanstein, Aisaka Taiga, Nagi). =/
This Hachikuji Mayoi figure looks alright to me. Let’s hope that MOVIC will not screw her up. Btw, is it just me or we do have lots of Bakemonogatari figure lately?

I didn’t like any of these new Bakemonogatari figures. =( this one is a little better than the Bandai ones, but… still not worth buying.

The character is supposed to be pretty hyper/silly/antsy so I think the stance fits…
I like everything personally other than the blush.
They gave her “drawn” blush lines with the “glow” as well, overkill and makes it look like someones been rubbing rocks on her face.
