I was gonna get the sylvaria (valkyria chronicles) but i imagine her being more mean or pissed when shes welding her shield and beam sword lol. i never understood strike witches, doesnt their hair and school girl costume produce drag because its not aerodynamically favorable? i mean traveling at 600mph and at altitudes of 12,000ft in 20F… their clothes would be ripped off and theyd die from hypothermia o.o..
You’re right about the Strike Witches, so they can’t really travel that fast. There was only one of them had broken the sound barrier once, but her clothes and the striker unit was broken into pieces afterward. XD

The concept is related to a similar dilemma in Sky Girls, J.C. Staff’s less popular mecha musume series also touched by Fumikane. In that narrative, nanoskin gel is used to protect the girls from flying at high speeds in large, structurally open-air exoskeletons. In Strike Witches, the equivalent is the the fact each character who can operate a Striker Unit is themselves a “witch” capable of manipulating magic and thereby the physics that would normally prevent them from safely taking to the air. While the active recognition of such a need has not been directly confronted in the series, it isn’t a stretch to surmise the same reason the witches can create magic barriers at whim is also the reason they can do so at speed and altitudes not conducive to such. Also, its an anime.

why are they displaying Hattori Hanzo? will she get a re-release too?
anyway, I’ll have to buy Yagyu, Hattori, Clalaclan and Selvaria. .__. have to look for a second job…
A re-release is possible, I suppose. They’re doing a second run of the 1/8 scale Yui and Mio PVCs, which they showed alongside the other unreleased K-ON! figures. But its more likely Alter is just displaying the Hyakko Ryoran series in its entirety to make their showcase that much more impressive. The idea is kind of similar to putting out name plates without their figures, or showing off blueprints or production sketches of an upcoming figure: the more content they have on display, the more people they hook.
