Griffon Enterprises is going to release the Figutto! FG-007 Senjougahara Hitagi ( 戦場ヶ原ひたぎ ) action figure from the light novel/anime “Bakemonogatari” ( 化物語 ). Will be released in September 2010. Around 155mm tall, 4,680 yen.

This Figutto! Senjougahara Hitagi is expensive! With all those delay of the Figutto!, we still see no Figutto! in the market yet but Griffon start to jack up the price of Figutto! already!? The Figutto! Kousaka Tamaki was only 3,200 yen, then the others were 3,680 or 3,800 yen. But now this Senjougahara goes up to 4,680 yen??? Are those stationary and the crab are that expensive to make? Or maybe Griffon find that Figutto! are more expensive to produce than they first estimated. =/
Beside the price tag, I like this Figutto! Senjougahara. The paint job looks amazing and the stationary look really cool. The faces are kinda boring tho. Since I didn’t pre-order the GSC one and the Kotobukiya one, maybe I should just get this one. =]

The paint job looks pretty dark to me O_o I love those hands that hold all the stationary though!
I had preferred they’ve put an extra face or two, instead of the crab, a tsundere one would be perfect for me, >.<

I could be totally off here, but it looks to me like they used quite a bit of digital imaging on the paint job for the prototype shots. Check out the “shadow” on the necktie – it clearly looks painted on, but changes position in each photo. It’s not uncommon for companies to “paint” figures digitally if they don’t have a painted prototype available, or if they need to touch a few things up. I’d wait until a review or two comes up online before putting in a pre-order based on the paint app.
You could be right. Griffon is really good at photochopped their product images. Most of their alternative color version figure images were photochopped from the original color version images. But don’t worry about it, their paint job on the final product always looks just like how they photochopped it. =D
Can someone tell me how the figutto, s.h figures (sp??), figman and revoltech match up? So far the samples of the figutto and s.h figures seem horrible. The only ones that seem to be look decent are the figma and revoltech, but I don’t know if this is just bad pictures and that the actual toys themselves are actually better than figma/revoltech. Thanks in advance for sharing…
The problem with this figure is that very little of it captures what Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari is actually about. Senjougahara is all about her freakish attitude, that nerve-tinging, questioning, nightmarish attitude.
The face and body posture just screams to me, ‘this is a model of her’. I don’t want a model of her. I want her – Just as if you ask the character designer what makes Senjougahara Senjougahara, they would go much further than just describe her physical appearance.
It’s an aciton figure, you can always pose her the way she’s supposed to be. =]
Griffon just sux at posing and photography. IMO these are good “product” photo, but they forgot she is also a “person”. =/
