Vocaloid 2 Hatsune Miku VN02 mix 1/8 PVC figure by Max Factory
Max Factory is going to release the Hatsune Miku VN02 mix ( 初音ミク VN02 mix ) 1/8 PVC figure from the popular singing synthesizer application “Vocaloid 2″ by YAMAHA. Will released in June 2010. Around 270mm tall, 12,191 yen.

Another Hatsune Miku by Max Factory! After all of the “Delay of the Death” Miku figures, let’s see if they can really release her in June. Maybe we can get her before Christmas 2010, LOL. XD
I can’t find the original illustration of this Miku VN02 mix, so I used another one from the same illustrator, Nagimiso, instead.
| ——Description from Manufacturer——
An all new perpective of Miku! A collaboration between the popular illustrator Nagimiso and Max Factory brings a figure of this cybernetic Miku, which was originally illustrated by Nagimiso as a character for the VN02mix of Miku Hatsune’s original song ‘moon’. Placed in an elegant pose as if soaring through the air, this version of Miku is far more than just a robotic version of Miku, it’s a carefully designed decorative masterpiece – a bold, yet finely crafted figure that will suit virtually any collection! |

Poor wallet… this will release right around AX and Fanime.
I really dislike this figure.
It feels nothing like Miku at all, even if it is based off of a doujin work. Also, it totally isn’t deserving of the 13 thousand yen price tag. There isn’t anything more interesting about this figure than Black Rock Shooter, who is a lot less.
I think I have to agree with you, the figure doesn’t ‘feel’ like she should be ¥13,000. That puts her at $155 CAD which is way way too high for me to even consider.
I also agree that she doesn’t seem very much like Miku, she has the most obvious traits, very long twintails, green hair, thighboots, detached sleeves, but overall it feels like one of those knockoff characters trying to make a buck off another series’ popularity.
That said, she has many nice aspects to her, but I don’t like the price nor the claim that she’s Miku.
Definitely wont be purchasing this figure. Heck, I’m still trying to find a decent deal on GSC’s Hatsune Miku.

It base on feeling and pocket money ^^. I really like this figure and will get her for sure. Not care if it resemble original character, as long as its well sculpted im all for it
Poor wallet, this figure is just amazing, and expensive too. Nice sculpture and original color ^^
Ordered at the speed of light…
Ahhh, I wish I could do that too but I’ve pre-ordered like 5 already T~T
No freaking way I can afford this, and it’s only 1/8 at that price!? I would get her if the colors were more Miku-ish, but this is way too green for me and personally I don’t like her eyes >_> Sadly this will be a pass, even though it looks really, really cool…
Yea, 1/8 scale with a price like this is a big ripoff. =(
This figure looks like it could light up, which would be really cool! Probably would look great under blacklights too.
I’m a fan. Also, 9800 yen at amiami, is she worth that much to you? : )
Nope, still too expensive.
Good that I’m not a fan, that make me not serious about her face too much and this one look so beautiful(and I like this green colour very much
)
Shipping cost would probably lift her up to $150 USD if bought at amiami and probably $180 USD for those selling at retail price x.x
Besides the cost, I’m not a huge fan of the song “moon,” so I think I’ll be passing.-.-;
And since she is so expensive, I guess EMS is the only option they will offer for shipping. =/
I think you people care about the resembling too much. I simply think her as a beautiful ARTWORK that sculpted in beautiful way. Is that enough for a figure?
She is a beauty. I am actually quiet found of the real image version PVC. Pre-ordered! :3
I agree with Rook 110%!
When buying anime figures (or almost anything in general), the only criteria one should follow is:
1. that it looks good
2. they like/love how it looks
3. that they can afford to buy it
Other than that, all those other excuses – “It doesn’t look like her”, “I’m not a fan of the anime/anime character”, “I haven’t seen the anime, so I’m not buying it” – are INCREDIBLY LAME!!!
The very first figure I bought was this… http://www.nekomagic.com/?p=690 I’ve never seen or heard of her or Ikki Tousen before then. Whether she looked EXACTLY like the illustration didn’t mean jack to me. All I knew is that i had to have her…
Now I have 28 figures and counting – very few I’ve seen the anime for, but I could care less if I never see a single video clip of those characters in action. Also, I won’t let something like an inaccurately detailed mouth (or something along those lines) stop me from buying a great work of art. Money, that’s a different matter…
All that said, I’ve already pre-ordered Miku. ; )
Not everyone has the same criteria as you do.
Some people look for those accuracy to the original artwork and what not.
Hatsune Miku, having freedom for her character, creates these different expectations.
Gratz on pre-order anyway.
That’s a point very well made and respected. : )
Everybody has their own reasons for buying these figures, but life’s too short to be such a stickler for details… Me? I buy ‘em simply because I’m a collector of “fine art” – and if it looks good and I have the money for it, i’ll get it. That said, either I’ve gotta get used to the whiney comments that pop up every now and then or train myself to focus only on the figures themselves… Maybe one day I’ll turn into one of those people who demand accuracy in a figure, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon…
Other than the Miku in a frame (that should be on it’s way from Hobby Search once my Tsukasa Bullet Sound Pretty comes in), this is the only one I’ve found interesting.
Thanks.
Just my selfish thinking but somebody use excuse like ” not resemble Miku” or ” too green” simply to hide their cant-offord situation. If this figure is 7000 yen or less, she will be ordered like crazy and no comment like that happens (may be yes but not much), im sure ^_^.
>Just my selfish thinking but somebody use excuse like ” not resemble Miku” or ” too green” simply to hide their cant-offord situation.
It’s not an excuse, or to hide anything — people just may not like the figure because it doesn’t look like they way they’d like to see that particular character depicted. >:
I personally like my Miku more moe and with aqua hair, which is why I’m not getting this one. ~w~ She is amazingly sculpted though, and it’s very cool, but something’s too off with it for me… OTL
Green miku, at that price… >_>
i think mabye they should change the colour of her eyes….it doesnt suit her well i think….and i thought that this figures sculpting is great..but the price doesnt reasonable at all…..huh..!!figures nowdays are really expensive ,huh…=P
A instant get! If it were a tad cheaper. Like by say $50. And if this was Luka.
I love this! It’s a shame it’s £86…
