How to: Curve Out Life-Size Anime Characters with Chainsaw
A Japanese masked sculptor has curved out life-sized anime character from round trunks. It’s truly one of the most massive project for summer holidays. =D

That is insane…Nice horror movie getup he’s got going their too. :p
I remember getting linked to Jason carving Horo on NicoNico Douga. I didn’t think Jason would do the carving entirely with a chainsaw, but surely he does! Some true chainsawing skill there.

I’m impressed that’s awesome ^^
I’ve seen a few “chainsaw sculptors” at county fairs before but the level of detail he put into both this one and the one at the end is impressive.
I couldn’t carve a toothpick out of a forest of trees if you gave me 20 years.
Awesome… I wonder if he thinks that perhaps the wood sculpture will turn into a petanko God like in Kannagi? :p
If I could do what he can, I’d surely give it a try too. If the wood sculpture doesn’t change, well you still end up with a wood sculpture! But if it does change… well…
The possibilities are unlimited. That’s why we are glued to anime :p Well on a more reality side, he is really skilled to be able to execute all this. Perhaps he will be the first one to prove to us the miracle of a God to be born out of wood.
