Kaiyodo is going to release the Revoltech Yamaguchi No.69 EVA Provisional Unit-05 ( エヴァ仮設5号機 ) action figure from the anime movie “Evangelion 2.0 You can (not) Advance” ( 新劇場版エヴァンゲリオン「破」 ). Will be released in June 2009. Around 160mm tall, 2,286 yen.

Here are the EVA-01, 02, and 05! For those people who have the older version of 01 and 02, they said this Ver.2.0 are almost 100% as same as the old ones except the new joints on their foot and the new weapons. They said it’s really ripoff but since I don’t have the older version, it doesn’t really matter to me.
For the EVA-05, or I should call it Unit-05, looks really um… unique(?). I don’t really like it, it looks like a guntank to me. As for the pilot, they still haven’t announce who is this person be, but most likely it’s the new girl Mari.
As for the EVA-01 and 02, I have no complain. They looks really cool just like they should be. But what the heck is the wing thing for EVA-02? It can fly?? No kidding man…. (-______-.
Btw, all the EVA-01, 02, and 05 comes with the bonus mini Jerknoid (those little green, red, purple figures in the pic below). I don’t care about the figures, but I would love to disassemble them and just get the revoltech joints. Oh, this bonus only limited to the first production bunch.

Looks like those horse-like EXISTENCE QT-arms (Sora kakeru wo Shoujo). The design looks real awkward to the point that I wouldn’t know what pose to give it only after I’ve seen the photos.
May consider getting this. Unique mecha piques my interest.

The EVA-01 and EVA-02 are 100% brand new. From the feet to the shoulders.
They are also more accurate to the movie in proportions and color.
yeah it’s true, i just recently got the Eva unit 03 new movie edition and compared to the original, it’s completely different, for one thing it’s taller and more limber, the chest is narrower, the legs and arms thinner, the shoulder blades are not connected like the others-they’re retractable, also for one thing unit 03’s mouth can open and close, and many other things
