Volks Try-GK is going to re-release the Saber ( セイバー ) 1/6 GK from the eroge/anime “Fate/stay night” published by Type-Moon. Will be released in June 2009. 10,000 yen. Kit is not painted nor assembled, 16 parts in total.

Not much news in the weekend as usual, so I’ll post anything that I see. Here is the re-release Saber GK by Volks. I find that it’s ridiculous when the price of GK didn’t really change much in the past 10 years but the price of PVC figure keep rising every season. Will PVC figure cost more than GK in the future? =P

How come GK cost a lot when it’s just unpainted & really easy to make?

Simple.
The factory that manufactures PVC do them by campaigns.
Thus, as GKs are not as popular as PVCs, they are produced in much lesser quantities, thus the price are higher.
Like what Horace said, it’s because the way they make GK, the quantities, and the material that the use is a lot more expensive than PVC.
