Megahouse is going to release the Brilliant Stage Sakura Nanako ( 桜菜々子 ) 1/8 PVC figure from the eroge “Sakura Sakura” ( さくらさくら ) published by Haikuo Soft. Will be released in mid February 2009. Around 150mm tall, 7,300 yen. Castoffable. Special semi-transparent version is also available.

Another eroge by Haikuo Soft! Haikuo Soft is the game company that published “Yotsunoha“. Yup, it’s the Nekomiya Nono ( 猫宮のの ) one. The game graphic looks pretty good, and the girls voice sounds great too. You can check out their homepage, there are some sample songs and voices of the girls. And of coz there are some game CG too. The figure is based on Nanako’s gym uniform. I couldn’t find a “normal” pic, so I added mosaic and put up the above pic for you guys. Al thought Megahouse doesn’t say it anywhere, by looks at the molding line of the figure, I strongly believe that her top is castoffable. I think it’s normal for a eroge girl to have a castoffable figure. This figure looks pretty good. The only thing I don’t really like is her face. Maybe it’s just the photo angle. I think her mouth is a little bit too low. Nanako looks really cute in the illustration, but I don’t feel it in the figure. Because of this, she’s not in my “to-buy-list”, too bad. =P

I’d recommend the semi-transparent version since the normal one only features her in a pink tight fitting gym outfit. Plus, not much is revealed after the cast-off but it does make it more display-friendly in public.
And yes…only the top is cast-off-able. But you’ll have to detach the head first so it’s easier to do so.
Another disadvantage is that this figurine is not mounted to the base so you’ll have to find a way to stick down those little pins at the side (I used blu-tack as it doesn’t stain…much).
I want to get the semi-transparent version too but there is no way that I can display her anywhere in my room. My mom will kill me if she see her. XD
I personally like the semi transparent too.
The colors look a lot better than the normal version. 😀
I just got the normal version, and to be honest i prefer it to the semi transparent version based on the pics… i guess i am the only one (^.^’)
