Finally this BRS Anime Ver. is here! I thought they would announce her after the BRS Bb ver. and BRS DVD has been released but I was wrong.
I know a lot of you have been waiting for this one for a long time. As a BRS fan, I want to get her too but she is just too $$$ for me. I would rather save my money for the Dead Master and wish GSC will release a poor-man-black-blade-version of this anime ver. BRS. =P

Hahaha, I lol’ed so hard at this “a poor-man-black-blade-version of this anime ver”, well I just pre ordered her cause she looks so bad@ss, even though I’m not a great fan of this new type of chains, it seems they will use the same kind as the one from Yuzuko Peppermint, looks kind of synthetic and small, maybe I’ll borrow her from time to time the one that came with my original BRS XD, I’ll try to get Dead Master too even if I need to work 12 hrs+ a day >.<
I guess I might get this version. It’s release date is due October which gives me enough time to save up for it and possibly for the Dead Master as well(if nothing else comes up, that is). It’s probably because I’ve ONLY been buying BR★S figures that I have enough budget to stretch.

Good question, there’s this huge garage that we, the chosen ones, can enter to spend every bit of many we have left and pray to be forgiven, nahh just kidding, for just released pre orders, I visit amiami for they great prices (usually 18-25%off), they’re offering SAL shipping now, so good for us, the only complaint is that basically you are not allowed to cancel (just super emergencies), also Hobby Search, good prices (not as good as amiami), they also offer SAL shipping and you can cancel you orders, there’s also Otacute,J-list, Hobby Link Japan (has an awesome account manager), Play-Asia, and others, if you live in the States, toyslogic, toylet.net, are good choices too, be sure to check all of them when looking for some old figures >.<

I think amiami is the cheapest (19% off), and then Hobby Search (15% off). But for those 2 store you can’t cancel your order.
So if you’re not 120% sure you want to get this BRS (you might change your mind when Dead Master or other figure come out! It always happen!), you should get her from the other store like Hobby Link Japan (5% off) or Play-Asia (free shipping for some countries).
Yo can cancel on Hobby Search, you just need to send them an email with your order ID an cancel request (they won’t care unless you get very annoying). Yo can cancel in Ami ami too, but only in emergencies, the 3rd one is supposed to be the limit, but if you are a frequent buyer they won’t care, (I think something like 80/20 proportion ratio)
Reirika pretty much nailed it, but personally I prefer Hobby Search to amiami. Amiami is usually about 5% cheaper, but I prefer the customer service at Hobby Search. Just personal opinion. Angolz is another company, though they are more mecha/toy type stuff, they do have some PVC figures. They have some great prices on certain items though (RAH and Hot Toys stuff).
There is also BigBadToy Store in the US. They are not particularly cheap or PVC centric, toys mostly, though they do carry most of the major PVC releases and offer local shipping, and they just have a ton of varied stuff. Hobbyfan is another, decent prices, but they have an irritating stock shortage problem sometimes, but they carry some rare releases from time to time.
I also prefer Hobby Search, I been going there for a long time, I buy 95% of all my figures there and I never had problems with them.

I’ve found that the American retailers are way too expensive. It’s cheaper to order from Japan directly as most stores pass their shipping costs on to you. I only use the U.S stores when I can’t find the figure anywhere else, and I must have it. Other than that I’ve saved a lot of money just buying directly from amiami or hobbylinkjapan. Just my two cents, and if I can save you some, I’ve done my job =)

Well, if you are looking for a USA-based store, I would recommend “Chuck’s Anime Shrine”. I don’t think his store is that well known, but the seller is really, really nice, he has even e-mailed me to tell me that the Black Rock Shooter figma and Nendoroid were up for preorders because he knows I like them… He only sells official products, there is no bootlegs there. Also, when your orders are over $100, the shipping within the US is free.

She’s a bit expensive, but I’m pretty sure she is worth the price, just like the first Black Rock Shooter figure. The details are simply amazing, especially on the base and her Rock Cannon. I can’t wait for October, however, I’m pretty sure she is going to be delayed until March 2011… which would make her the perfect gift for my birthday, hahaha!

Considering what the original is selling for on eBay these days, that might be a great idea.
The flipside to that is, if they ever re-release it… Well, take advantage of the situation when it presents itself is all I can say.

I never understood the popularity of this character. She’s cute and I wish I got my hands on the original PVC figure that was released a while back. It’s going for insane prices on eBay now and there are a ton of bootlegs. I might get the Blade version that’s coming out this year.
so true I just don’t understand the hype of this character. I guess she is one of the ‘unique’ unlike most ‘moe’ characters we’ve seen nowadays.
I like this one better than the first version. More dynamic feel at least.
