Touhou Project Hakurei Reimu 1/6 PVC figure by Gift

Gift is going to release the Hakurei Reimu ( 博麗霊夢 ) 1/6 PVC figure from the doujin danmaku shooting game series “Touhou Project” ( 東方プロジェクト ) by the circle Team Shanghai Alice ( 上海アリス幻樂団 ). Will be released in March 2010. Around 200mm tall, 6,800 yen.

Usually the figures from Gift are manufactured by Good Smile Company. I don’t know what happen between Gift and GSC, but for some reason this Hakurei Reimu figure isn’t seems to be manufactured by GSC. I myself still believe that this figure is still manufactured by GSC, but somehow GSC didn’t has her in their website at all. I guess it’s just licensing issue of Touhou? Like all the plushies from Gift are manufactured by GSC and they all showed up in GSC homepage except the Touhou plushies.

COLORS OP style

Anyway, this the sculptor of this Hakurei Reimu is “Kitutehu” ( 橘川てふ/キツテフ ), the winner of Wonder Showcase 2007. I like his original character series “COLORS” ( 五色神話 ) a lot. The characters are sooooo cutre!! I think Kimichi will know a lot more about this sculptor “Kitutehu” ( キツテフ ) than I do since “Kitutehu” is his favorite sculptor. =D

Personally I don’t really like this Reimu even I’m a Touhou fan. I really don’t like her eyes, I think the style of the eyes don’t fit Reimu, and I don’t like the fact that she is not wearing bloomer!! =(

      Yeah, she not look like Reimu, she is so attractive while the original just stop at the ” cute”. If Amiami get her im gonna purchase her without thinking

      Do not really like… the face doesn’t really match the rest, the face just looks bad. The rest is okay, but to buy a figure with a bad face?

      I kinda like the style she’s in, but it actually took me a while to get used to. so that makes me in the same boat as Muntoe? lol ^^

      Gift needs to just stick to Takayuki Kondo for their sculpts. So far their Yoko is the only figure that’s stunned me, and did she ever. This is just not Reimu, much like how their Saber was not Saber.

      Haha well while he is my favorite I perfer his loli designs personally. :p
