Good Smile Company is going to release the Sakurai Kanade ( 櫻井 奏 ) 1/8 PVC figure from the web anime “Candy Boy” ( Candy☆Boy ). Will be released in September 2009. Around 200mm tall, 6,476 yen.

Since the name “Candy Boy” didn’t attract my attention at all, I never watch this anime until today. I always thought that “Candy Boy” is about a guy going after some girls just like those usual gal-game but I was so wrong! This anime is actually about the romantic (?) story of these yuri twins, Yukino and Kanade. I just watched episode 1 on youtube today and found it pretty funny. The story isn’t so long, only has 7 episodes in total (plus 1 ONA and some extra) and each episode only runs about 15 mins. Since it’s pretty short so I might watch them all tonight if I have time. =]
Kanade is the younger of the twins and she is a really cool girl. She looks more like the elder sister to me. =]

I’m impressed with the sculpting finishes on these 2 figurines. They really look display-worthy. Somehow, I prefer the ‘older’ sister better, but they look good enough to have both of them together.
