Tags: , ,

KyotoAnimation is going to release the Akiyama Mio ( 秋山 澪 ) 1/8 PVC figure from the manga/anime “K-ON!” ( けいおん! ). Will be released in July 2010. Around 216mm tall, 8,000 yen (taxed in). Pre-order will be taken at 12:00pm on February 6, 2010 (Japan local time). Kyoani Shop exclusive.

Updated with more images!

KyotoAnimation added a front page (the image below) for their Mio figure! Seems like they’re taking this Mio figure seriously. There aren’t any images on their website yet except those non-painted figure images that we had seen before. There is still around 3hrs more to go and we will see how this Mio looks like.

Stay tuned! I’ll update this post once I have more info and images for this Mio figure! =D

Update: Here comes the Mio!!! The images is a bit small from the Kyoani Shop so please bear with it. Overall she looks really good. Her face looks better than the non-painted version. I’m just a little bit disappointed by her dress. I thougth they’re going to use semi-transparent PVC for those layers.

There is still no information about which manufacturer is going to manufacture her. For the 8,000 yen price tag, let’s hope that it’s not something cheap like Toy’s works to manufacture her.

You can order her here in Kyoani Shop.

I’m glad I never bought into the K-ON moe garbage. I love how people defend the show saying it has plot when it clearly doesn’t. It will sell well though, since people are obsessed with it.

I like it because it was really cute, but you’re right. It doesn’t have much of a plot.

Here is what I found on it.

K-On!’s story revolves around four Japanese high school girls who join their school’s light music club to try to save it from being abolished. However, they are the only members of the club, and at first Yui Hirasawa, the main character, has no experience playing musical instruments or reading sheet music. Eventually, she learns how to be an excellent guitar player. The rest of the club helps her to buy a guitar, and they perform successfully at the school festival.

No worse then fine people like yourself making snide comments about it…

As for me I thought it was an enjoyable fluffy little show…Nothing more nothing less.

I wasn’t making a snide comment. I don’t hate it nor do I love it. I thought it was an okay show. What I meant by not having much of a plot was that it wasn’t that there wasn’t much going on. Like you said nothing more nothing less. (◕‿◕)

Yeah, she looks nice but I don’t know how to say the same thing to her dress maybe because there’s not enough shading to it, it looks a bit like umm, bin bag?

Cute but never was a big Mio fan…Maybe if they had given her alittle more attitude like what she displayed in the ED I’d be compelled to get her, but this feels a tad too generic…Love the dress though. ~_^

Definitely going to order one if ti’s available international shops. First Mio that looks pretty decent. From the looks of the quality, definitely has to be a top company like GSC or Alter making her.
