Kaiyodo is going to release the Fraulein Revoltech Cultural Festival No.2 ( 文化祭SPECIAL No.2 ) Nagato Yuki ( 長門有希 ) Witch Ver. ( 魔法使いVer. ) action figure from the light novel/anime series “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” ( 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱 ). Will be released on March 01, 2009. Around 150mm tall, 2,800 yen.

Actually I don’t have much info about this Fraulein Yuki. The source said she is 2,800 yen which I think it’s a bit expensive for a Fraulein figure. Maybe it’s just a misprint or something like that (Update: It has been confirmed that the price is really 2,800 yen)? (Feb 06, 2009 Update: Price is confirmed. It’s really 2,800 yen) Compared to the figma bad witch Yuki, I think this Fraulein doesn’t look so good. I think her head is a bit too big and her hair doesn’t look nature enough. But I’ll still buy her just to collect the whole Fraulein Haruhi set. =P

Btw, the new “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” and “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan”anime are coming in 2009! I’m so excited! I really like the ero gamer Yuki in the Haruhi-chan. XD

OK, stupid question time:
What’s the difference between Fraulein and Figma’s figures? Is it just different manufacturers or is there a definitive difference in them?
They are from 2 different company
figma is from Max Factory, and Fraulein is from Kaiyodo.
IMO figma looks nicer than Fraulein, but their joints are more visible and they’re more expensive. And figma (~1/12) is smaller than Fraulein (~1/10).
I like Figma’s concept but really can’t stand their oh-so-obvious joints. Fraulein’s joints are better looking, at least from the example above. Yuki’s legs look a bit odd from the knees down but, overall, she looks fairly good.
Yeah, I don’t like the fact that the joints pop up too much either…=_=
It’s an ok figure for me. I do love the way shamisen looks! 😀
i like Frauleins nagato better beacuse the figma version makes her hair too purple and makes it like like a gloopy purple blob on her head. on the Fraulein one, her hair has crisp, sharp, clean lines for her hair. it is also pointy. i love the detail. its good quality and her hair is the perfect balance between purple and grey.
