Yamato is going to release Kusanagi Motoko ( 草薙 素子 )1/7 action figure from the series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG ( 攻殻機動隊 S.A.C. 2nd GIG) in Summer 2008. Base on the Yamato VMF (variable motion figure) system, 8,190 Yen.

I and my some other friends liked Ghost in the Shell a lot when I was still a highschool kid. Actually not just Ghost in the Shell, we liked Shirow Masamune a lot. We were so excited when the first Ghost in the Shell CG movie came out in 1995. I still think that it is one of the best anime moive I have even seen. More and more figure manufactures come out with their actin figure system.

Correct me if I’m wrong, the first one is Konami’s MMS ( Multi Movable System ). They first used it in Busou Shinki( 武装神姫 ) series in 2006, and they’re still using it today. This system is pretty old in today’s standard. You can see all the screws and joins. It’s pretty bad IMO. Then later ATELIER-SAI came up with their S.M.S (Sai-Moving-System). You can
see it in the previous Duel Maid Ex news. Then Kaiyodo came up with Revoltech and Fraulein. They became top of the lines when they came out. But just last month (March 2008), Max Factory released their Figma and it smokes all of the other action figure system away for 10 miles!

When this Yamato’s VMF figure release, we can see how it compare to the other systems. =]
