Good Smile Company is going to release the Nendoroid No.74 Hakurei Reimu ( 博麗霊夢 ) from the doujin danmaku shooting game series “Touhou Project” ( 東方プロジェクト ) by the circle Team Shanghai Alice ( 上海アリス幻樂団 ). Will be released in the Comiket 76 (C76) on August 14-16, 2009. Around 100mm tall, 3,000 yen (tax in).

Reimu Hakurei (博麗 霊夢)

  • Species: Human
  • Ability: Mainly able to fly in the sky
  • Residence: Hakurei Shrine

Reimu is the main character of Touhou games 1-12. She is the shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, a remote building far in the east where the boundaries of Gensōkyō and the human world overlap. Reimu is very easygoing—some would say lazy—and hates to train. As such, even though she’s naturally talented, her offensive and magical abilities are only average. However, she has a strong sense of duty, and if it’s for the sake of Gensokyo she can overcome almost any obstacle through sheer perseverance. Her main abilities are flying in the sky, good intuition, and getting along with everyone; even those who were once her enemies. In the games, she is characterized by her homing amulets and yin-yang orbs. In addition to being in all of the Touhou games (save Touhou 9.5), she is featured in Graffiti Kingdom as “Flying Maiden”.

This is the shadow that we saw in the Nendoroid homepage on June 23rd! But I guess pretty much everybody know it right away that she is Hakurei Reimu from Touhou, not really a big surprise. This Reimu Nendoroid is C76 exclusive and I really want to get one. We might be able to see her on eBay but the price is gonna be really scary. =(

Btw, they said “Nendoroid Touhou series” in the Nendoroid homepage, I wonder if that means they’re going to release other characters from Touhou too?? (Oo.

      Luckily they will be announcing a second method to order her soon according to what gsc posted on mikatan blog.

      I’m sure she will have at least another expression. GSC’s probably will make more from the serie for more money. :D

      I don’t like her faces, neither one of them. Hopefully if they make Patchy or Marisa, they look cuter.
