Evangelion 2.0 You can (not) Advance Mari 1/8 PVC figure by Bandai

Tags: , , ,

Bandai is going to release the Figure Tama ( FIGURE魂 ) Mari ( マリ ) 1/8 PVC figure from the anime movie “Evangelion 2.0 You can (not) Advance” ( 新劇場版エヴァンゲリオン「破」 ). Will be released in July 2009. Around 180mm tall, 4,200 yen.

I’m really looking forward to this movie! Beside they changed the name of Asuka, they also has a new character “Mari” (her full name is Makinami Mari Illustrious  “真希波・マリ・イラストリアス “, no official English translation yet).

I’m not a big fan of Bandai’s figures (their gashapon and trading figures are ok). I bought a Figure Tama Mai-Otome figure and a Y!PC5 Cure Dream before and their quaility are not impressive at all. That’s why this figure is already on sale in most of online stores. (Amazon is selling her for 3,307 yen, and Rakuten is selling her for 2,865 yen already). It’s kinda sad. =P

Don’t really care for this figure, but I’m really liking this new character… mainly because she looks almost *exactly* like me… which is making me think an easy cosplay might actually be possible for me.(bad at sewing, not a lot of cash, but I love cosplay)

Hoping for some better figures in the future.

Woah “Beside they changed the name of Asuka”, what’s her new name? First time I heard about this.

Figure looks good. Though I’d have to actually see her in action before ever thinking about a purchase. I have to like the character before buying.
