Thanks to my recent Cosfest coverage, I was forced to put this off until a full week after her photoshoot had been done, no thanks as well to my desktop destruction obviously. However, now that I am back, I think it high time to finally post something that I initially wanted to post in the first week of July – the theme of the month and the Figure of the Month for July, Kotobukiya’s Elwing la Sylphis, in all her Elven Beauty.

As usual, I took many shots of Elwing, but only around 48 were usable or selected. I will obviously not be using all of them here, so for the others that will not be featured here, please look at her album.

No post-processing, other than adding my title to the photos, were done. WYSIWYG

Enough talk. Let us move on the pictures!

Description

The well-loved and cute elf that first appeared in the first installment of the famous Shining series, that had their character designs drawn up by well-known hentai artist Taka Tony, Elwing la Sylphis now comes in her Shining Wind edition thanks to Kotobukiya!

In a pose reminiscent of Elwing’s cute personality as well as innocent self, Kotobukiya manages to pull off this figure from the Wind series very well. Here are some pictures of the full figure, in profile and from all the four sides.

Her bow comes with her in the box, but is so flimsy that it can be easily broken. It is advised that while taking her out of the box, special care must be taken to keep both the figure and the bow intact. The bow is below the figure carefully packaged further in a plastic made for that purpose. The bow does not seem to fit exactly onto her hands; at least I had great worry when I tried to put it firmly in her hands and found I might break her hands instead. However it can fit there and hold without dropping off without external intervention, but I would rather display her without her bow, both to save space, and to enhance her elegance.

Some pictures of her with the bow as well below.

Elwing also comes with a castoff option, but only that of her skirt. To take out her skirt, and reveal her wonderfully white pantsu, simply carefully detach the upper torso carefully from the area directly below the belly, then take out the skirt. The skirt is made of soft PVC, so a little bending is fine. Here are some of her without her skirt, including a special pantsu shot for obligatory reasons. (Do not hate me for this, female readers)

Elwing gives off the feeling of someone who likes to be in the sun, and hopefully I reflected that in my shots of her below.

Some close-ups of her. Unfortunately my camera did not permit me to take full close-up shots of just her face, so these will have to do I hope.

Elwing fits best, IMHO, in a spot that allows her upward-looking pose to direct her lovely gaze towards viewers, so somewhere on the desk in front of the owner, or a relatively lower shelf (which depends on whether you view at it from a sitting or standing position) would be best. She fits almost anywhere without the bow, and her base is screwed on tight. Owners, do take note of this when you take her out of the box.

Kotobukiya has certainly come a long way since their first Shining Wind figure, that of Clalaclan Philias, and I am very proud to be the owner of one of this very lovely figure of Elwing la Sylphis. Elwing is certainly an affordable as well as a must-have if you are either a fan of Taka Tony’s art, or of the girls from the Shining series, or just a lover of great, or cute figures. Do not let down the royal princess of Fontina, and a member of Weissritter, folks.
