Nekomagic Got Hacked! =(

Tags:

Update: For those who got redirected to the Chinese porn site last night meant that your firewall/anti-virus didn’t block the virus. Chance are you got infected already, PLEASE SCAN YOUR COMPUTER ASAP!!

Nekomagic.com just got hacked and I just fixed it for now. I’ll reinstall the whole site again in the next few hours. For those who had visited Nekomagic in the past few hours (within the past 6hrs or so), please scan your computer!!!

Thank you for those who emailed me about this issue!

      Kaspersky is great and Microsoft Security Essentials sux big time.

      I used to use Kaspersky when I was still using XP. But after I installed Win7-64bit and my Kaspersky 2009 didn’t support 64bit OS, I installed Microsoft Security Essentials for the time being and last night I was screwed… (-_______-.;

      I bought Kaspersky2010 and installed it right away and it found 3 viruses in my computer already.

      Again, Microsoft Security Essentials sux big time!!!!

    My anti-virus caught something as well. And I thought it was some other website. Glad to see that it is being solved!

    Why would anyone want to hack a figure news site? There’s nothing to steal. Was it just vandalism?

    I was disconcerted by that assault on a favourite website: Neko Magic has been an exemplary website, in providing lots of information (and pictures) in a clean and timely manner. In Australia, a country becoming more puritanical by the minute, I am expecting this website to cop flak in the proposed Great Australian Firewall… Sad but true: the legal system here has some rather disturbing notions about erotica and porn. So much for my little collection of gashapon and figurines.

    I’m glad it’s back to normal now. No wonder I couldn’t access the site earlier yesterday.

    So if I was directed to local-based searches or something than my firewall protected me? I never got directed to any Chinese Porn Sites.
